She opened her eyes slowly,
Hoping that it was not yet morning,
But it was.
Another day had dawned,
But she was not ready for it.
She was still weighed down,
By the weight of the previous day.
She lay in bed,
Wondering how she would get through the day.
Then she heard a voice in her spirit.
Seek me.
She ignored the voice,
And instead rolled over in bed,
Trying to catch a few more moments of peaceful sleep.
Then she remembered.
She had a job interview.
The job she had waited to get for so long.
She had prayed over and over,
Hoping an opportunity would come up,
And today was the big day.
But she was scared.
Would she say the right thing?
Would she make a fool of herself?
Seek me.
A few moments later,
She jumped out of bed,
And headed to the bathroom.
Her Bible lay forgotten on the floor,
Where it had been for months.
She had lost hope,
Stopped praying,
Stopped going for Bible study,
Stopped going to church,
Stopped talking to Him.
But the voice in her spirit was not silenced.
Seek me.
She left for the interview,
Dressed formally,
With her documents neatly placed in a folder.
Outwardly, she looked the part,
But inside, she was a wreck
What if? What if?
Questions ran frantically through her mind,
But deep inside her spirit,
The voice repeated,
Seek me.
She got to the venue of the interview,
Registered at the reception,
And waited.
Her hands were shaking,
And her head felt like a bomb about to explode,
But she still ignored the voice.
Seek me.
Finally, she was called in,
And it hit her, this is it!
She tried to speak,
But her voice came out as a high-pitched squeak.
She tried to stay still,
But the chair would not stop shaking.
Inside her, the voice continued,
Seek me.
She had to ace the interview.
But she couldn’t control her thoughts,
They raced everywhere as she tried to listen to the interviewer,
How will I get through this?
She cried inwardly.
And the voice answered,
Seek me.
Then it hit her.
The dusty Bible,
With its tear-stained pages,
Had her answer.
She needed Him.
Seek me.
She whispered silently,
Lord, I need you.
The voice went silent,
Replaced by clarity and peace.
After months of turmoil,
She was now at rest.
Seek me.
Do you have a dusty Bible at your bedside, dumped there after shedding tears in His presence and not getting an answer? Seek Him. He’s waiting for you, right where you left Him. He loves you.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13 NIV)

Wow. Just wow.
