Lord, you know my daughter so well.
You created her for a purpose. You knew her before she was formed in my womb.
You knew how and where she would be born, and where she would spend her childhood. You knew all about her school, friends, family, and faith in you.
Lord, I am bringing up this history (which you know all about) because the only home my daughter knows is Kenya. She lives here with her family and knows no other home.
Right now, her home country is in a state of uncertainty. Nobody knows what will happen next. My little girl does not understand it all, thankfully. All she knows is that all the adults around her have to vote again.
The thing is, I understand where we may be heading. And so with my whole heart, I cry out to you, Lord – would you intervene in our situation? Would you work things out in our land so that our children will have a future?
As I cry out for your mercy, Lord, I pray that your will be done.
2 Chronicles 7:14 “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land.” (NLT)
