The Black Spot

The Black Spot

The writing was on the wall, and my fate was sealed. All because of that black spot in my heart…

From the outside, everything looked perfect. I was educated, had a good family background, and job prospects were great.

But inside me lay that black spot… deeply embedded in my heart, where only God could see it.

A black spot that separated me from my Creator.

A black spot that I didn’t even know existed.

A black spot that I would never be able to wash off, even with the strongest detergent.

I was facing imminent death, an eternal death. Eternal separation from my Creator.

Then… just when all seemed lost, He stepped in.

He made me aware of the black spot, aware that there was nothing I could do about it.

In His love, He revealed Himself as the only one who could remove this spot.

He revealed Himself to me as a Saviour.

No, THE Saviour

With a painful sacrifice of death on a cross, my black spot was washed away. With the shedding of innocent blood, my sins were forgiven.

But…

I first had to accept Him as Saviour, before He could wash away the black spot. And I did.

I surrendered my life to Him, and He made me His child.

My black spot was washed away. Not a trace was left.

I could now enjoy fellowship with my Creator.

The black spot is all gone. Completely forgotten. And I am a new creation in Christ.
